Michael Crichton may have secured my love for dinosaurs, but Rachel Morgan has made me love faeries, particularly her kick-butt fae in her Creepy Hollow series. Rachel introduced us to Creepy Hollow with Violet Fairdale's story told in The Faerie Guardian, The Faerie Prince, and The Faerie War. Now ten year's has passed in Creepy Hollow, and we're introduced to Calla Larkenwood's story in A Faerie's Secret.
Calla Larkenwood wants nothing more than to be a guardian, but her overprotective mother has never allowed it. When circumstances change and Calla finally gets to join a Guild, she discovers guardian trainee life isn’t all she hoped it would be. Her classmates are distant, her mentor hates her, and keeping her Griffin Ability a secret is harder than she thought. Then an initiation game goes wrong, landing Calla with a magical ability she can’t control. She needs help—and the only way she can get it is by bargaining with the guy who just discovered her biggest secret.

Glad you liked the movie. Not sure I want to see it though. And awesome that Rachel's book was so good.
Yay for Rachel! I hear you should leave your brain at the door for the movie. Plot holes may exist...
I hope I get a chance to see the film on the big screen. Congratulations to Rachel! :) Hope you're having a good week, Cherie.
The kids are finally out of school, and I was going to take my youngest to see JP yesterday. Never made it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it. We still plan to go see it. And a big YAY! for Rachel!
I expect I'll get to take my husband's grandson to see the film (that's my excuse to see all these films that my husband hates!). I also like Rachel Morgan's books.
The Rachel Morgan books look great! I'm going to have to check those out.
Congratulations to Rachel. And such a cool cover.
Sadly, I was disappointed with Jurassic World, but I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I still have to see Jurassic World. I can't wait. Congratulations to Rachel!
I'm going to see the movie tonight with some friends. =)
If they do make a real park with genetically-engineered dinosaurs, I'll be staying home. I do love the movies/books, though.
Congrats to Rachel!
I liked Jurassic World, but I thought it was a little too much like the first one.
I'd like to read Rachel's book.
I loved the first two movies and would like to see the rest. I don't think I'd want to see a real dinosaur park, though, after seeing those movies.
I'm not sure I'll watch the movie. There are some serious plot holes in the previews that bother me. But, it has all been done before, not much new to see.
Love the concept of Rachel's book :)
Though I can't say the Jurassic Park books (or the films for that matter) appeal to me I do like the sound of A Faerie's Secret.
Glad the movie didn't disappoint you, especially since so many people seem to have high expectations for it!
And wow, Rachel's series sounds so fascinating. Then again, faeries never fail to be fun to read about! :)
I'm going to see Jurassic World this Sunday. I can't wait!
Love fairies, but not dinosaurs. Plus, I've heard it's not as great as the original - which made me fall asleep! Best avoided for me but I'm glad you enjoyed it. An the book certainly sounds up my street.
Am I on you blog tour list, Cherie? I thought I signed up and I've read the book (awesomeness). Get in touch if not. I'd love to help you out.

I liked Jurassic World too -- just as good as I'd hoped it would be.
I loved the first film, but haven't seen the rest. I didn't know I was so far behind. Glad you enjoyed it.
Congrats to Rachel. I own the first book and hopefully I'll be able to read it soon.
I'm glad you enjoyed the movie! I haven't seen it yet--the first couple scared me to bits when I was a kid, so I'm still a bit leery of seeing this one, but, well Chris Pratt... ;)
