Writing Update: June Goals

Happy Wednesday!

May has been a pretty busy month between getting everything ready for the Once upon a Nightmare Blog Tour in June and editing the stories for Mayhem in the Air. Since I read Libbie Hawker's Take Off Your Pants!, a book about outlining, I plan to apply what I learned to my outline for Marked and hope to dive into writing soon. *crosses fingers*

For those who don't know, my wrists, the right one in particular, have been bothering me now for five months and have affected how much I can do on the computer at a time. I've been diagnosed with mild carpal tunnel, tendonitis, and osteoarthritis and so far haven't found anything that's fixed the pain. (I'm still waiting on my new ergonomic chair/desk at work.) I'm slower now, and I've finally accepted that I can't do quite as much as I used to or want to. But it won't stop me from completing my goals, even if they take longer to accomplish. I've been mainly focusing on one goal to completion. The progress is slow but still progress.

That said, here are my June goals:
Mayhem in the Air - So far I've edited a little over half the stories in this Untethered Realms' anthology, and I have four or so more to edit. It should be a great anthology, and I hope to complete this task by early June.
Update Blog/Websites/Social Media - I have my spiffy new tagline (Feeding your inner bookworm) and know what I want to do, but I still have to modify my blog, websites, and social media with new pictures and the like. After I finish the Mayhem in the Air stories, this is my next goal.
Marked - Once I finish the blog/websites/social media updates, the plan is to modify my outline and write Marked, Liam's story.
Blog Tour - The Once upon a Nightmare Blog Tour will run from June 22 to June 26, so I'll be doing a lot of blog visiting those dates. I'm also running my first Kindle Countdown deal from June 22-28.

What are your goals for June?

Good luck! I hope they get your work station all set up this summer. My June goal: survival. Heh. I actually need to write a flash fiction piece for my local critique group. Hopefully one night I'll get inspired!

Every one of those diagnoses sounds so painful. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope they find something to ease that pain. Looks like you still have a lot planned and going on. Best of luck. June for me? I hope to start a plotting a new book.

I hope they get you your desk and other equipment soon. I know when I got a new chair and keyboard tray for my desk, I got rid of the carpel tunnel pain. Hope you do to. Just do what you can so you don't permanently injure your right hand. I know an author who did that by not being careful.

Love your new tagline! I hope you are able to get your new desk and equipment soon.

I hope you can get your wrist sorted out so it's not bothering you.
I'm almost done releasing my one novella series, so I really need to start figuring out new goals. New story ideas have come me and I've got them written. You would not believe how many words I've cranked out this month. =D But I still need to figure out a plan.

One goal at a time and it doesn't matter the pace.

I've noticed my hands go numb from the wrist down. It's a painful numb. Do you experience that?

I'm telling you, licorice root tea. And less time on the keyboard.

Which reminds me of something else I meant to tell you... will email you.

Mayhem in the Air is going to be amazing.

Those are some awesome goals! And looking forward to checking out the outlining book, I think that will be very helpful. Still trying to outline my summer goals...so much to do, so little time!

Wonderful goals. I hope you get that new desk and chair soon.

Good luck with your goals, and I hope your wrists start feeling better soon.

My goal for June is to finish the radical revision/restructuring I'm currently working on. After this, I'll only have one more radical revision/restructuring to go in my prequel series.

So sorry to hear about your continued wrist problems. I hope you find some way to alleviate the pain soon. I know it is tough to be limited without warning- but it sounds like you have the right attitude. You are also getting a lot done. Congrats!

Sorry to hear about your wrists; I hope you find something to help soon, but it's amazing how much you're getting done!

I haven't thought too much about writing goals for a while, but I'm glad to think about them now. I believe getting myself back into good habits, along with sorting out the blog, etc. (and finally learning Google+) sound like good ideas.

Sorry to hear about the carpal tunnel issues. You have a good attitude, though, so by that I think you will figure out a way to still accomplish your goals. I hope you get relief from your pain, most importantly.

Love your goals, Cherie, and I'm glad you're still able to make steady progress! I hope your pain lessens or even miraculously just goes away!

Good that you aren't letting anything stop you from writing. Even if you had no physical issue it's smart to take frequent breaks. Those who don't may well have future issues even if they don't now! And yeah, I look forward to the Mayhem collection!
