Wednesday's Writing Update: Gearing up for the Holidays

Happy Wednesday!

I can't believe it is less than a week until Christmas, less than two weeks to a new year. If anyone can find out what happened to the rest of the year, please let me know.

Since The Phoenix Prophetess is my main project for the rest of the year, I've been taking it pretty easy when it comes to writing and editing. In fact, I've gotten nothing done in finishing up the last third of the rewrite. It's nice having this break, and I look forward to jumping back into everything come January 1st. I hope I can always plan to slow down the latter half of December. *crosses fingers*

You may have seen my post on Monday, but I'll be taking a blogger break from December 22-January 1. My last post this year will be the cover art reveal of Christine Rains' The Alpha on Friday, December 21st. Then, I'll be back in time for IWSG post on Wednesday, Janurary 2nd.

The reason for the break is because I'm off from the day job from December 21-January 1. The home internet is a bit spotty and quick to die on us, so it's hard to comment on blogs as often as I might like. Plus, I think I deserve a bit of a break. I'm really excited about my time off from the day job too. This will be my longest vacation since I started working in August 2007.

I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday and a great new year!

Do you have any holiday plans? Looking forward to the new year?

Good luck with your new book! My silly internet has been spotty, too. I wonder if it's the holiday and all those online shoppers... ? :D

I'm on break until IWSG next month as well. I love your new banner. I've gotten pretty good with photoshop. If you'd like me to make one that has all the elements of all your published works by molding them together in a collage, I could give it a try.

I'm breaking on Friday. So much left to do. Yikes! But let's drink a toast to 2013. *clink* :-)

You DO deserve a break. And from work too. Heavenly! I hope you have a most beautiful Christmas. And that 2013 is OUR BEST YEAR YET! :-) Merry Christmas, Cherie!

A break sounds good. Yes, I'm off from my part-time job as adjunct prof of lit and writing. Much needed time to relax!!! My two sons and family will convene in the country. Have a great holiday.

Have a wonderful break! Besides parties, parties and more parties, nothing else special planned. Yes, I always look forward to the New Year. As for this year, I'd like to know where it went also.

I'm plotting a blogging break next week due to the holidays as well. People should be with family and friends, not on my blog. =)

Have a wonderful Christmas Cherie and enjoy your break.

We all need a break sometimes, especially during the holidays! Hope you have a fantastic Christmas season while away, and that 2013 is just as productive as 2012 for you, if not more-so!
