I'm Thankful for my Readers!

I'm Thankful for ... my Readers! Blog Hop is hosted by Vikki and Tara. Please visit their blogs for a list of rules and participants.

Dear Christine,
Without you, I wouldn't be a writer today. We started out role-playing together on Harry Potter RPGs. Then, I sent you the first chapter of The Phoenix Prophetess and asked if I was crazy to think of writing this story. I may still be crazy, but you told me to continue. So I did. Sending you chapter by chapter as I wrote it. You are my first critique partner, and I value you more than you can ever know.

Dear Aubrie,
The best thing that came out of the publisher-who-must-not-be-named was meeting you. You have been a true friend and a great supporter of my writing. You help me find the best words to use. I can't wait for us to one day have a book signing together!

Dear Cher,
You may be my newest critique partner, but I can't imagine publishing my work without your keen editor's eye looking it over. You keep my work honest.

Dear Kara,
You are my sister, and you don't have to like what I write, but I value your opinion when it comes to my YA novels, since you are still a teen. I promise I will publish The Phoenix Prophetess soon. Well, soon in publishing time (a year or more from now).

Dear Readers,
I don't know who some of you are. You purchase my work. Some write reviews. Some do not. But I value each and every one of you. Without readers, we authors are just voices shouting into the wind. You make all the stress over words worth it.

Dear Blog Readers,
I would have never known how much I would enjoy blogging without each and every one of you. I love your comments and visiting your blogs. I wish I had even more time to do so than I do. I appreciate every single one of you.

Dear Future Beta Readers,
I would love to find a beta reader or two who knows their YA novels. I write contemporary, fantasy, and even some thriller and horror are on the horizon. I'd love to do a manuscript exchange and would need someone willing to give me an overall opinion on my YA manuscripts this coming year. If you think you are that person, please let me know.

Much love from your humble writer,
Cherie

And as a special thank you, I am putting Nightmare Ever After on sale on Smashwords. You can get 50% off with the coupon code UU44W. Coupon code expires on November 15th.

This is such a fantastic blog hop idea! You seem to have so many great people to thank. I have nowhere near as many, but I'm still grateful for every last one of them. They make blogging fun! :D

What a lovely post. It's so important to stop and take time to appreciate those in your life. :-)

What a lovely post, I liked the way you addressed each part to people and to 'future betas' - good luck finding a lucky beta and thank you for joining in the bloghop. It would be nothing without everyone joining in!

It's so wonderful to have so many people to be thankful for, Cherie. Whoever thinks a writing life is a solitary one is doing it wrong ;)

Hey, I happen to need another beta reader, Cherie! And, I read and write YA far too much, actually, lol. I've been known to be a pretty good critiquer, too. Contact me if you like. ckeaton[at]gmx[dot]com

You've got such a rich writing life. Plenty to be thankful for. Thank you for being such a cool blogger. ;)
