What you are supposed to do is take a moment to talk about your own book. Well, I plan to do that and to mention two other people's books I think you should consider purchasing.

Since Halloween is a few days away, I had to promote Once Upon a December Nightmare. It is a horror/thriller novelette (around 11,000 words) that I wrote back in May 2009 and was published by Wild Child Publishing in August 2010.

They were only going out to dinner and a movie.

But when their plans go astray, friends Cassie, Mary, Denise, and James decide to take a detour down a lonely mountain road. A felled tree blocks their passage and forces them to turn around in a clearing containing a disturbing arrangement of four deer carcasses.

But when their truck breaks down, and their cell phones don't work, they must brave the cold December air, nightfall, and a long hike. Yet this is the least of their troubles. Tension runs high between the four young friends…and they are not alone. Each step brings them closer to safety, but will they make it to the main road alive?

The third book I want to promote is Alfred C. Martino's Perfected by Girls. I received this book for review and the voice of the piece sucked me in almost right away. A review of this piece is forthcoming on Surrounded by Books Reviews in November, but if you like YA Contemporary and/or girls wanting to wrestle (Greco-Roman style, people), then you might want to take a look at this book.
