Happy
Wednesday!
I reviewed A to Z Stories of Life and Death by D.
Biswas today on Surrounded by Books Reviews. There will be an interview on that
blog with her on Friday.
As for
writing news, it's more editing news instead of writing. I'm plodding along in
the second edit of The Phoenix Prophetess.
I love that novel, but sometimes it's slow going. I never realized trying to
take writing two years old and make it up to my standards today takes a LONG
time. I'll get it done, though.
The bad thing
about getting edits done is that I have little time to write. I miss writing. I
love creating new worlds, new stories. I miss that. At least I have NaNoWriMo
coming up in November. I can't wait to write my first YA Contemporary novel, Starred.
Besides
editing, I'm reading books to review and working on a few other things here and
there. I sometimes really wish I had a time turner. I'd get so much more done
then.
So what's new
with you?
Do you like
the creative end of writing or editing more?

I miss writing. The last proper bit of writing I did was last year's NaNo. I seem to have been in critique mode for a while, and now have knuckled down to deal with the major rewrites Racing the Dark needs.
For me, I miss the creativity and the ability to just write that the initial draft gives me.
Hope the edits for The Phoenix Prophetess keep going well for you, even if it is slow going.
Right now, I'm kinda surprised that I don't miss writing. I'm having fun editing Elena's Pen and want to be done by the end of the month so I can send it to readers. Normally I hate editing so hopefully this is a good sign!
Good luck with your edits!
I definitely enjoy writing more than editing. Editing is so frustrating sometimes I have to take time away before I tear out my hair.
But the more you edit, the better the end product. So, it's totally worth it.
That what I miss when I'm editing too. I totally agree!
I prefer the creative end by far! Editing my own stuff is difficult. Thankfully I have some good CPs. ;)
Enjoyed the review. Right now it's mostly writing blog entries and comments as I get ready for NaNoWriMo. I need to write more, but I need an energy infusion. The inspiration is not lacking.

Tossing It Out
I'm in between drafts at the moment, and I'm kind of missing the freedom of writing a first draft. I feel like I've been editing forever!
