Wednesday's Writing Update

I can't believe it's already March. I'm even more amazed that I have 165 followers. Wow! I said when I reached 100 that I would have a blogfest. Then, bam, I had well over 100. So, I promise in April, I'll mention this secret blogfest I have in mind as well as prizes. So stay tuned for those updates. *grins*

Now, on to the writing update. Here are February's stats:
Submissions: 3
Rejections: 0
Acceptances: 1
Short Stories Written: 2
Submissions Still Out There: 4
Word Total: 17,390

My March goals are pretty simple. Get as much accomplished this month in blog posts, short stories, and flash fiction, so in April and May, I can focus mainly on rewriting Virtuoso. I also want to have time to visit the A to Z bloggers and my fellow Crusaders, so if I can get everything else done, I'll have more time for other things. Or, at least, that's the hope.

I finished my rewrites for my novelette Defying Gravity last week. I plan to make some edits this weekend, so I can polish it up and submit it sometime next week.

I also have some posts set up to go on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday. Why? After tomorrow, I'll be off for five days from work, which means I won't have my nice, fast work internet. I'll be on s...l...o...w dial-up. Plus, Tuesday is my birthday, so I planned ahead. *grins*

I may not be around as much, but I will keep up with everyone's blog posts and try to comment when my cell phone or dial-up lets me.

Now, I'm off to continue working on my new PWP assignment.

I love that whole "stats" thing you do. I think I might start keeping a record for myself like that.

Congrats on the acceptance, by the way. Looking forward to this blogfest you're brewing too. =)

I envy anyone who can do flash fiction well. *pointing at self* "Not me."

Dial-up is terrible. I think I'd rather sit through another viewing of Twilight.

Ha, I did the same thing, promised a celebration at 150 followers but with the help of the Crusade, blew past that and did a 200 giveaway instead. :) Best of luck and hard work to make your March goals!

Happily Cheesey - Writing flash is quite the learning process, but it does really help in longer works.

Aubrie - Thank you!

I need to get in on my own submissions. I'm falling behind thanks to revisions on my synopsis. Ugh! That thing is driving me crazy.

Tangynt - Good luck with your synopsis!

I love your writing goals. I'm going to modify that for myself. I stumbled on your blog from the A to Z list. I'm challenging myself to do that as well -- I'm #350.

Happy early birthday and congrats on so many followers! :) I had a decent following and then had to start a whole new blog due to inactivity. Talk about frustrating!

Jessica - Thank you! That's a shame about having to start over with your blog. I wish you luck with it!
