Today is supposed to be a very hot day in the East, near 100 degrees. Is it autumn yet? *laughs*
On writing news, I received my first royalty statement from WolfSinger Publications for All About Eve. Unfortunately, we haven't made any money yet, but that's okay. "Hell Hath No Fury" is under a five-year contract, so perhaps I'll make a few dollars on it in the end. And, if you haven't bought your copy, what are you waiting for? You can find it on Amazon.
On Friday, I received my fourth edits for Once Upon a December Nightmare. It sounds horrifying, I know, but it wasn't bad. It was basically me reading through it and make sure everything was right. I changed a few words (around four), but that's it. I did have to find an excerpt, create a blurb, write my bio and acknowledgments, and send all that in to my editor. Otherwise, she's going to send the information to Marci Baun, head of Wild Child Publishing. She'll decide a release date, the story will go to the proofers, and then I just wait for the release date to come when people can finally read my ebook. I feel such a relief to have it so close to the final stages. I'm excited about it.
I still haven't heard anything about my submissions.
As for my writing schedule, I wrote the new first chapter to Moonlight Murders yesterday only to realize it would be better written in the killer's view point. So, guess what I'm doing next Monday on the novel? *laughs* I also began working on Moonlight Murders' synopsis.
Today, I plan to begin a new short story and perhaps work on my flash piece for Friday.
Well, I better get back to work. There are books to cover and such. The work of a librarian is never done.
