On NaNoWriMo: Day 1, I wrote the prologue (1,572 words) and began writing chapter one. I felt like it took me forever to write that first day. Then again, it probably didn't help that I didn't get home from a Halloween party until around 3:00 am, and this was after daylight savings time had ended, so it was more like 4:00 am. Lack of sleep just doesn't help the writing process, but I plugged along, and I am happy with what I wrote.
On NaNoWriMo: Day 2, it was very difficult to get any writing done. I was still tired. Plus, horror upon horrors, I had to work at work. I had so much to do that I didn't get a chance to do anything except do the word count for the first day on the NaNoWriMo website. After I got home and ate dinner, I finally had a chance to write on my brand new laptop. *huggles laptop* Unfortnately with television and various other distractions I only managed to finish chapter one (1,826 words), although I did win two games of Majong Titans in the process.
Today, NaNoWriMo: Day 3, I have already completed today's goals. I started and finished chapter two (3,038 words) before I even have left work. I have over 6,000 words as well, so I am exactly where I need to be to complete my goal. I do hope, if I'm not too tired, to be able to begin writing chapter three after I get home and have dinner. I'm so excited about writing this novel, and I've almost written more in the past three days than I wrote all last month. Yay!

Congrats on your progress!! I'm really behind on my word count because of work, but I'll still chugging along.
