First off, my friend Aubrie Dionne's Paradise 21 is now available. Go buy it! You know you want to.
Second, I'm trying to rewrite/edit a chapter every two days in Virtuoso through the month of August, so I'll be taking a blogger break on Knowledge Tuesdays and Personal Thursdays. I will still post Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (Promo, Writing Update, and #fridaysflash).
In September I'm thinking about starting Teaser Tuesdays, hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading. I plan to do away with Knowledge Tuesdays and use the 1st and 3rd Thursdays for "Ask the Editor" and 2nd and 4th Thursdays for "Personal Thursdays." If there is a rare 5th Thursday in a month, I'll take off.
Also, there will be an announcement on Surrounded by Books Reviews tomorrow. It involves a blogfest and great prizes, so be sure to drop by there on Wednesday and see what's going on.

I've been thinking....
Yes, I realize those are some dangerous words, despite the fact that I think a lot. I even wish they had a device that could be hooked up to my brain, so I could just think the words and images, and they would write themselves out onto the computer screen. I'd get so much more written that way, if I just had to think it. *laughs* But, I've been thinking about the coming months on the blog here and writing in general.
My writing goals have been shot this year. By this time, I had hoped to have a third novel written. Have I? Nope. I've only written one chapter in book two of the Phoenix Trilogy and three chapters in a new novel Hammered Home. I've written several short stories, but I really want to go back to writing novels.
So, I've decided July would be a brand new start when it comes to writing. I'm going to try to write almost every day. On Mondays, I'm going to work on a novel. I plan to get back to writing Moonlight Murders, my historical mystery novel. And, if I get stuck with it, then I'll work again on Hammered Home or The Phoenix Sorceress. On Tuesdays, I plan to work on a short story. On Wednesdays, I'm going to begin working on a paranormal romance novella I have in my head. On Thursdays and Fridays, I'll work on either my novel, short story, or novella, depending on what time I have during the day to do so. On the weekends, I'll be editing Virtuoso and The Phoenix Prophetess and anything else that might require edits, such as old short stories.
Since my start and success in my one flash fiction story, I thought it would be fun to write some flash fiction as a writing practice. On the blog, I'm going to begin having "Flash Fiction Fridays." I'll try to have a new flash fiction piece every Friday beginning in July. I might not get something written for every Friday, but it would be a great exercise in story, characters, and words.
Also, since I'm up to 22 members, I wanted to mention again that I'll begin having interviews on my blog. If you are an author and have something published or forthcoming and want a little exposure, please comment on the blog or email me at cherie.reich@gmail.com. I'd be happy to interview people. *smiles*

Thoughts on the Blog
Today, I am now up to twenty blog followers. True, that sounds incredibly small when you consider there are people out there that have hundreds and sometimes thousands of blog followers. I'm happy to have twenty, and I hope to increase that number in the year to come.
I always told myself that if I would have twenty + blog followers, then I would begin having author interviews. Author interviews are a great way to support other authors, and I would like to do that.
So, if you have a book coming out or are previously published and need some promotion, please email me at cherie.reich@gmail.com. I'd be glad to learn more about you and interview you.
On other news, I finished and sent off my third edits for Once Upon a December Nightmare. The story is more than I ever could have wanted. It is so much better than the first draft or even the fifth draft. It has pushed me in ways I never thought I could be as an author. Of course, I hope this is my last edits, and we could move on to proofreading and getting the story published. Since being submitted, the story lost 1,000 words and gained 2,000 in added characterization from the human characters to the mysterious monster. I still don't have a release date, but I hope it'll be in the next couple months. *crosses fingers* I'm ready to get this story out there, so I can move on to my other novels and short stories.
Currently, I have no submissions news. I have a short story I'd like to write before the end of the week, but it might not happen, and if it doesn't, that's okay. I have two short stories I need to write before the end of July, and I have many other plans for that month, as well. Now, I just have to get motivated. Motivated, motivated, how to get motivated? Any suggestions?
