Wednesday's Writing Update: May Stats and June Goals

Happy Wednesday!

I have May's stats available.
Words Written: 3,830
Pages Edited: 350

I ended up editing much more than I wrote last month.

I still have quite a bit to do in June. I have a client's manuscript I'm editing. I'm working on publishing Women of Foxwick as well as writing Pull of Gravity. My main goals are Women of Foxwick and Pull of Gravity this month. It'd be nice to get them finished, so I can start focusing on Nightmare Ever After. I've decided I would like to get all my major writing done in the next few months for the stories I plan to self-publish this year. Then I can focus on editing Starred and gearing up for NaNoWriMo in November with my YA Horror Paranormal Junkies.

The new planned release date for Women of Foxwick is June 26th. If you would like to read and review a copy, please let me know in the comments, and I'll send you a Smashwords coupon as soon as it's available.

I'm really trying to tell myself not to do August's Camp NaNoWriMo. I really am. I have a week off in August, but I don't want to have two more first drafts this year to edit later on, especially when I have four novels already to edit. But that shiny idea of an adult fantasy novel keeps sneaking up on me.

So what are you working on this week?

That is a whole lot of editing! Well done :)

I'm writing a novel this month. I may have to use August to take care of another project I've got on my to-do list...but...I dunno, it's one of those projects that seems insurmountable. Because it's a rewrite ;)

I am doing NaNo in November too...

This has also been an editing month for me.

I know the feeling of shiny new ideas bugging me.

I've done more editing than writing the past few months. Just happens sometimes, I guess. This week, I'm working on editing and then, just for something new, I'll edit some stuff.

That's some good work. I'm doing second edits on the first book (almost done) and then I have to get going on book 4. The idea is there and I know exactly what needs to happen so it shouldn't take too long to finish.

I'm planning on doing the Camp Nano in August. I just signed up for the one going on now (didn't hear about it earlier) and I'm throwing Nano rules to the wind. I'm working on a piece I've been working on a for a while, starting in the middle now, and then I'll do the last part in August.

I'll give you a review, Cherie. I'm working on polishing off Andrew Leon's book first and then wanted to dive into the Compass Master, but I usually read three or so books at the same time.

I'd rather buy it when it comes out and support you that way - and I'll definitely do a big shout out for you when it's released!

I'm getting through a few other blogger books at the moment, but I'll be sure to buy it when it comes out! :) Sounds like May was a good month.

A war with my printer on Monday ... resulting in new printer. A war with Blogger ... which may result in me moving entirely to my website ... siiigh.

Other than that, I'm doing a final read-thru of Stopover - release in July, finishing 1st/2nd draft of October's release & starting the next two stories in the Backworlds series. I need clones. :)

Wow, I don't know how you can do all of that! Writing and editing takes so much energy out of me. I'm wiped out after doing very little of both. Wish I had more stamina like you.

I'm working on my adult sci-fi/fantasy novella and editing my writing partner's MS. But, I know I can only go slow. That's okay. Better slow than never.

Wow, you are so productive! You put me to shame. Better get off the internet and get some writing done... :)

WOW, you have a ton of projects going on at once! My brain couldn't handle all of that. I would mix up characters and stories too easily :)

It's hard to resist those new ideas. I bet you could do NaNo in that one week you have off! ;) I haven't done any writing this week, but hopefully I'll be able to do so tomorrow. I wanted my first novella done this month, but I don't know if that's going to happen unless I really buckle down.

New ideas are so shiny!

I'm halfway done a zombie fairy tale novella. Then I'm going to write a superhero romance. All the while still editing. It never ends. :)

Eek, that's a lot of editing. I can feel your pain because I'm stuck in the middle of editing at the moment. I'm yearning to write something fresh and new.

Wow... wish I could get 350 pages edited... it seems to take me a very long time... what's your secret?

I returned to tell you that I have a blog award for you. :)
