The 2015 Realms Faire is underway from now through November 13. Get ready for games and loads of chances to win some great prizes.

My event is called Riddle Me This.

What the event is about: I am a book so popular they made a movie of me. Within the what if realms I lie. Horror? Fantasy? Or am I Sci-Fi? A riddle every day during the Realms Faire for you to take your best guess and have a chance to win a prize most splendid.

How you play: You play by commenting your guess of the book and author I'm talking about in the riddle. I'll take guesses for a riddle until 8 AM EST the next day. All who have guessed correctly are entered in for a chance to win a prize. Riddle answers and winners will be revealed on Monday, November 16.

Riddle #1

Whether sixty-five millions years ago
or even today, I’m still cool.
Everyone starts out ooo-ing and ahh-ing,
but the screams and blood aren’t far behind.
Don’t you worry, though.
Women will inherit the Earth.

What book/movie am I?

You have until Tuesday, November 10 at 8 AM EST to answer.

The winner will get his/her selection of one ebook by M. Pax.
Will you choose a book from her science fiction series The Backworlds?
OR
From her science fiction fantasy/time travel series The Rifters?

Good luck!

I can't even guess at the riddle but I'm curious to know what it is (and slap myself in the head when the answer's revealed!)

I was going to say something about dinosaurs, but then the women comment at the end threw me. But... maybe... Jurassic World?

You are Jurassic Park. I think.

Love the Realms Faire!

Geez, I stink at this stuff. You have me at 65 million years... It's the women comment that's throwing me for a loop. My brain first went to Star Wars, but then was like no. Then to Star Trek, same reaction. Why do I want to say Buck Rogers???? lol

Jurassic Park! Michael Crichton. Cool you included a line from the movie.

It has to be Jurassic Park.

Natalie Aguirre said...

I really don't know the answer to this, although some people seem pretty sure what this is.

Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton. Cool!

Jurassic Park? The "women will inherit the earth" tipped me off on that. My favorite line! :D

Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton! Wasn't there something about the scariest raptors being female? Or am I imagining that?

H. R. Sinclair said...

My thought was Jurassic Park too. Now, I'm sure of it, since everyone else thinks so too. ;)

I'm pretty sure it's my all-time favorite movie. A perfect pairing with my books. :D

Awesome riddle! Took me a bit to figure out. :-)

It's something to do with dinosaurs??
That's my guess. I don't have a title. When it comes to movies I'm USELESS! Hahaha!

Jurassic Park!! I love those movies and read the book when I was twelve. Michael Crichton is the author. The new one is extra fab because of Chris Pratt. Plus Chris Pratt as a raptor trainer. Plus Chris Pratt on a motorcycle. The only part they missed was Chris Pratt without his shirt on (like in GotG). Sequel needs to include that :)

Plus, yay Realms Faire!!

Puzzling! Jurassic Park...I'm thinking.

I'm going to say the original Jurassic Park! :) Yippee for Realms Faire time!

I'm late to the party, but it sounded like Jurassic Park to me, too, except for the line about females inheriting the world. It's been so long since I read that book, I didn't remember that line. At all.

Jurassic Park. The last line totally gave it away.

I have to go with Jurassic Park since that's the consensus!!!!

These riddles are going to be hard! Everyone is saying Jurassic Park, but I don't know based on what I could figure out myself. I've never read the book.

I'll have to see if I can solve a different one.

I'm horrible at riddles, just take a peek at my GRE logic score for confirmation.

I didn't guess either and now I know why, I fail at GRE logic too! :)
