Happy Birthday to Yssa, the main character in Reborn! Yssa's birthday is the 23 day of Inasham, or May 23rd for you non-Amorans. This date is a fitting day for the official release date for Reborn. For the Reborn Blog Tour, I'm at these places today:
Esther Jones's blog with a secret on how to get your book into libraries and an excerpt from the prologue.
River Fairchild's blog with a promo post.
Medeia Sharif's blog with an excerpt from chapter one.
Christine Rains' blog with some promo.
E.E. Giorgi's blog with an interview.
Are
you ready to challenge Fate?
On the day of Yssa’s death
and rebirth, the god Apenth chose her as the Phoenix Prophetess.
Sea serpents and gods
endanger the young prophetess’s journey and sour the omens. Yssa is cursed
instead of blessed, and her duties at the Temple of Apenth prove it. She spends
her days reading dusty scrolls, which does nothing to help her forget Tym, the
boy back home. But the annoying yet gorgeous ferryman’s son Liam proves to be a
distraction she can’t predict, even though he rarely leaves her alone for two
sand grains.
Her boring temple life
screeches to a halt when visions of her parents’ murders consume her. Yssa
races across an ocean to stop the future. If she can’t change Fate, she’ll
refuse to be the Phoenix Prophetess any longer. Fate, however, has other plans
for her and the kingdom.
Yssa must either accept her
destiny or fight to change Fate.

Today's Reborn tidbit: Although I had the idea for Reborn back in 2006, I didn't start writing the novel until January 15, 2009, which was the day I started to write seriously for publication in mind. Nine months later on September 15, 2009, I finished that first draft at 96,000 words. Before I started rewriting Reborn in 2012, I cut the draft down to 81,000 words. The final manuscript ended up being 94,500 words, only 1500-words shy of the original draft length. Reborn was just meant to be a long story.

Your book sounds great! Have fun on the blog tour!
Congrats and cheers to lots of sales!
Congrats, Cherie! Wishing you the best of luck. :)
Way to go, Cherie. My draft lengths also tend to fluctuate between the sloppy copy, subsequent revisions, and the "final" edited version.
Happy (belated) birthday, Yssa! ;)
And wow, Reborn has been in your head for a long time! Congrats on the release! :)
I don't let go of certain ideas and end up writing and revising them for years.
Congratulations on your release.
