Writing Update: May Goals

Happy Wednesday!

I'm sure April has been a busy month for a lot of us. I've been proofreading Reborn and writing in a few stories. Writing multiple stories at once this month has reminded me that I work better if I focus on writing just one story. I can edit multiple stories much better than I can write them, so that has changed up my goals a bit.

Here are May's goals:
  • Format and publish Reborn. The official release date for Reborn is May 23, exactly one month away. I hope to format and publish Reborn before then, so I can get purchase links to bloggers helping in my blog tour.
  • Finish blog tour posts for Reborn. The blog tour runs from May 23 - June 23. I still have some interview questions to answer and guest posts to write before then.
  • Continue writing in Repledged. You haven't really heard of this title yet, but let's just say I've decided to make things right for a character. You'll learn more in May's IWSG post. I hope to finish Repledged, a prequel novella from The Fate Challenges' world, in May.
  • Write Remarked. A novella told from Liam's point of view, Remarked is #1.5 in The Fate Challenges. As soon as Repledged is with alpha #1, I'll be working on Remarked again.
Of course, my main goals revolve around Reborn, since it'll be coming out first. Then, the rest of the time will go back into writing.

This month I finally finished drawing my maps for The Fate Challenges too.

And I got my print proof from Createspace on Monday. Isn't it lovely?

What are your May goals?

Although I'm not participating in A-Z on this blog, we authors at Untethered Realms are talking about fantastical creatures. Be sure to stop by! And I have a special guest post next Wednesday, April 30th from Nicole Zoltack. She'll be talking about her top ten villains!

You're moving right along. And it looks like May is going to see you move even farther! Good for you. I'm thinking about taking some time away in May. Have to put some of my goals down first and see how I can work a break around those.

Oh- and let us know if you want us to help spread the word on our Author Tracker Blog. We can put up a guest post, cover reveal, or whatever else we can do help. :)

Those maps look really great! So does the print proof copy. Is Createspace really a good way to go for print books? I've not really liked the print paperbacks I've seen.

Your work is incredible, as in five-stars out of five stars. There's no corner in my mind that looks at either your maps, writing, editing, covers, etc. and doesn't think "This author is a huge name like George R.R. Martin!" I know you do it all yourself, and my jaw just hangs open at your incredible professionalism and attention-to-detail.

Yes, that cover looks lovely.

Your maps look fantastic! Even though I'm an artist, I can never imagine drawing something like that... (I'm much more comfortable with characters, heh.)

Also, good luck with all your May goals! The Reborn blog tour will no doubt be fun... :)

Beautiful maps! Mine don't look half as good . . . which is why they won't be in my books, but just used as a reference.
Looking forward to Reborn!

I really like how the names of your novels fit together. And I LOVE those cool maps!

Very cool maps, Cherie, and a fine-lookin' hard copy. I too do better writing one story at a time, and on novel-length manuscripts, I do better editing the same way. I have to stay in the minds of those characters until the drafts are done.

Good luck with everything you have to do this month! I think I've told you this before, but I really like the cover of Reborn. And it's so creative how you named all the books in your series.
