As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches in the States, I've been thinking about what I'm thankful for.
- Knowing how to read and write
- Having all those necessities of life, such as food, shelter, and clothes
- My family
- My fur-babies Cinderella, Romeo, and Juliette
- My local writer's group
- My writer/blogger friends near and far (i.e. that's all you people)
- Being alive
Don't forget W4WS is today. We're tweeting for Nick Wilford and Michael Offutt. Both are brilliant authors and can use your support.

I'm thankful for my amazing son and books! :) (Also, W4WS is next Monday. ;) )
I'm so thankful for the blogging community. I feel so lucky to be part of it! And you're right, just the basic necessities of life are something so many don't have, we need to remember not to take these things for granted. Great post, Cherie. :)
You actually make it seem so easy together with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually one thing which I believe I might never understand. It kind of feels too complex and very vast for me. Im taking a look ahead in your subsequent post, I?¦ll try to get the hang of it!

I'm thankful to the blogging community that has reached out to help me quite a bit in learning about the publishing world. After both of my publishers went belly-up, I was pretty panicked. So thank YOU for all of your wisdom and advice.
Awesome. I'm thankful for cheese, my family, and all my amazing bloggies. (Not necessarily in that order.) Taking my daughter to ballet, I had to pause and reflect on how grateful I am for the cooler weather, for an excellent dance instructor, and for the opportunity my little girl has to fulfill her dreams. I guess I should add that today I begin to fulfill one of mine, and it wouldn't be possible without an amazing community of supportive online friends. (My debut book is launching this week!)
I'm thankful for everything. My job, family, friends, fur babies, health. Life!
I love your fur babies' names :)
What a fantastic list! I'm thankful for many of the same things. :)
I love your list. There's so much we take for granted. Being alive is one of them :)
I'm also thankful for an amazing supportive husband.
I'm thankful for the people who look out for me, and take me for who I am, and the blogging community for taking the time to read :)
I'm thankful for most of the things on your list. And it's important to remember to be thankful, no matter what challenges we're facing.
A great list.
By global standards, if you have a plate of food on your table, a roof over your head, and a bed to sleep in at night, then you are truly fortunate; anything extra is a luxury.
I'm grateful for being able to wake up every morning...
I'm thankful for my husband, my son and his wife who gave me two beautiful granddaughters. I'm thankful to live in this country and to have the luxury of being able to write.
Spot on perspective, Cherie. Wonderful list. These are the things we need to be focusing on and thankful for! :)
Those are great things to be thankful for! A lot of times I forget those essential things.
I can be thankful for all those things too (just replace the fur-baby cats with naughty dogs!). I often don't think about reading and writing as something I should be thankful I can do. I just take them for granted. And yet there are so, so many who haven't had the privilege of being taught (or at least taught properly) these fundamental skills while growing up ...
