Valiant Valdale #atozchallenge

For the A to Z Challenge, I'm featuring twenty-six flash fiction pieces from my Foxwick Kingdom and its surrounding neighbors. A to Z Flashes of Foxwick is now available from Smashwords and Amazon and includes the bonus short story "Lady Death." You can add this to your Goodreads list here.

Valiant Valdale

The lands near Valdale claimed they had the best healers, but the people of Valdale knew they did. Their king was a philosopher, and he designed fairness throughout the kingdom with his laws and rites.
Temples scattered in the towns and were more plentiful than taverns, although the locals knew the temple brothers had the best mead. The people were happy and lived ordinary lives, although their kingdom was small.
Valdale made up for its size when their neighbors called.
For Foxwick needed assistance when Wintermill’s frigidness drifted northward, and Valdale sent an army. They were always willing to shoulder the burdens of war to keep their own lands safe from harm.
No others were more valiant than those from Valdale.

Now if you want to learn more about authors, I’m featuring up to three per day on my blog Surrounded by Books Reviews. To find the other participants, click here.

I am in awe of your ability to name fantasy places, creatures, whatnot. I really struggle with choosing names.

Peace coexistence if all neighbours were like them. but I would still miss the hustle bustle of a big city.
Soft, dreamy description.
