Tyre and Thay #atozchallenge

For the A to Z Challenge, I'm featuring twenty-six flash fiction pieces from my Foxwick Kingdom and its surrounding neighbors. A to Z Flashes of Foxwick is now available from Smashwords and Amazon and includes the bonus short story "Lady Death." You can add this to your Goodreads list here.

This is also the only drabble (exactly 100 words) in the bunch.

T

Tyre and Thay

Tyre and Thay Goodmaker journeyed to Valdale with their worldly possessions worn and hung from their backs. The moon and stars witnessed their arrival. They passed in companionable silence as their footsteps tapped softly against the cobblestone pathways.
The temple doors opened to them, and the brothers entered and set their bags and lone weapon upon the entryway. They removed their shoes and bowed before their temple brother.
“You have returned.”
“Yes, we have,” the brothers said in unison.
“Welcome back.”
“Thank you.” Tyre and Thay, a swordsman and sorcerer respectively, shed their cloaks and returned to their monastery life.

Now if you want to learn more about authors, I’m featuring up to three per day on my blog Surrounded by Books Reviews. To find the other participants, click here.

A warrior and a sorcerer are returning to their lives as monks???

And I love "companionable silence."
