Wednesday's Writing Update

It's Wednesday again, and I don't know where to begin. I'm slowly getting around to emails and blogs and everything else after being without internet for a good part of a week. It's amazing how much piles up.

Thank you for the birthday wishes! I had a nice quiet birthday this year. No party really to speak of. I mainly read, edited, and wrote. I also spent some quality time with my kids cats.

On Friday, I found out I placed second in the First Crusade Challenge. I'm so honored and surprised to have done so well. Thank you!

I received two blog awards: One Lovely Blog Award from Alberta Ross and Madeline Bartos and the Stylish Blogger Award from Madeline Bartos. I'll be giving away the awards on Saturday.

I'm up to 176 blog followers. Wow! Blogfest is coming soon. I promise.

Also, I have discount news! Wild Child Publishing and Freya's Bower will be offering 25% off any ebook purchase over $5 with the coupon code "green". The code is good until the 17th of March. My ebook Once Upon a December Nightmare is published with Wild Child Publishing, and I've purchased several ebooks from them. *wonders what to buy next*
I received two rejections last week for short stories, but one really amused me. They thought the short story would make a great novel. I did too. That's why I wrote MISSING during NaNoWriMo 2010. *grins*

I finished my current PWP critique assignment on Sunday.

I finished editing my 10,500-word space fantasy romance Defying Gravity yesterday. I submitted the synopsis, query letter, and first chapter to Wild Child Publishing today. I'll keep you updated.

I also finished writing an *whispers* adult *endwhisper* short story titled "Phantom Kisses." It's with the CPs. *blushes*

I took the plunge today and created a Facebook Author Page. You can view it here. It's still under construction, but I hope you "like" it, although there is no pressure to. Thanks!

What's coming up with my writing? I'm trying to get as much done as possible this month, so I can spend April and May rewriting Virtuoso. It means two blog posts written a day, one flash fiction piece written every other day, and a short story a week. We'll see how it works out, but it I can get it all done, it'll make my life so much easier coming up.

I hope everyone is having a good week!

One thing I've learned in the last two months of insanity: never be afraid to ask for facebook "like"s. Seriously, what do they cost people?

Happily Cheesy - I completely agree. I typically follow just about anything. *laughs* It definitely doesn't cost anyone. :)

Hello Cherie. You've been busy! Great stuff. I must check out Wild Child Publishing. I liked you on fb. Are you on Networked Blogs yet?

You should now be up to 177 followers, as I just added myself! And happy belated birthday!
