It's experiment time again for today's flash fiction piece. I was looking at my computer wallpaper and decided to try my hand of a more poetic prose type flash fiction piece or something like that. We'll see how it goes.
Springtime
A warm
breeze's kiss banishes winter's frigid chill. Violet pebbles crackle underneath
my bare feet. Golden puffs of flowers bloom and open wide-eyed toward the
fading sunlight. A light sweet scent coils around my head. Sluggish bees lug
pollen-laden legs to the hive. The taste of rebirth and life dances along my
tongue. I tilt my head toward the color-changing sky. Sunbeams set behind me
while Artemis's silver orb rises upon the horizon with a heavy belly. While I
cross under the plant canopy, the wind lifts yellow and white petals. Their
silky softness brushes along my skin like a lover's caress. I smile and walk
alone into moonbeams.

I LOVE this! But you knew I would. I'm such a frilly poem writer myself. :)
This cheers me up since it snowed last night. Sniff.
Thanks for brightening my day with some beautiful words.
I love your writing, Cherie. Impressed how you describe so vividly with so little words. I can't wait to have you as a guest blogger!
Cherie I love this piece. I love flash fiction full stop.
Your descriptions are great. There is so much imagery. Do I hear a wish for Spring?
I've been cruising reading some of your other posts too. I've learnt a lot. It's great to immerse ourselves in the style we want to write in and I'm glad you were inspired by Revis' book.

Thank you, Summer!
We're a ways from bare-foot walking here, but I enjoyed the optimism ;)
Thank you, Will. We're still a ways from bare-foot walking too. Soon, soon. :)
Very nice! We got several inches of snow here today, so I needed some springtime thoughts. :)
Your writing is beautiful. We got a few inches of snow last night. I'm really excited for spring. If it will ever get here! :)
Thanks, Ruth!
