Wednesday keeps sneaking up on me.
Welcome, Crusaders and everyone else! I'm still completely in awe of the increase in followers. Wow. I've gotten through the first 100 in the Crusaders' List, and I hope to finish adding everyone's blogs today. Tomorrow, I'll have my First Crusader Challenge up.
We're writing our three-part story this week on Raven and the Writing Desk. It's a cat love story and very cute. Lisa wrote the first part. I wrote the second part, and Aubrie will have the third part up around Friday.
I did finish my PWP proofreading assignment. I proofread over 250 pages on Saturday and Sunday. I'm glad I had Monday off from my full-time library assistant job. It gave me a chance to finish up a short story and write my part two for Raven and the Writing Desk.
I already have my new assignment. This time, it is a critique, and I hope to finish it by Monday, so it can count on this month's invoice. *crosses fingers*
I haven't had much of a chance to write lately, and I miss it. I did finish that one short story; it's called "The Disappearance of Emma Rose." I'm not very happy with it. All the elements are there, but it's lacking something. One CP said it needed more emotion. I agree, but I don't know if I'll finish it in time to submit it to Innsmouth Free Press's Candle in the Attic Window by Monday. I said this year that I wouldn't send things before they were ready and I was happy with them. So, I might have to pass if I can't fix the story.
I still plan to finish rewriting my science fiction romance novelette, Defying Gravity, by Monday. Ithink I can do that one, since I only have two chapters left to rewrite. Then, it'll go to the CPs again. I'll make corrections and submit it to an epublisher.
I've fallen further and further behind in my revisions on my YA Paranormal, Virtuoso. I did what I said I wasn't going to do this year, which is focus on writing short stories. *sighs* I still want to finish the novel by the end of May. I've decided that there are four more short stories I need/want to write, and I'm going to take March to write them. I also hope to get more flash fiction written and blog posts. If I can do that from now until the end of March, I hope to be able to focus completely on rewrites in April and May to reach my self-imposed deadline.
I haven't heard back from any of my submissions out there yet. I should know something in March from a few of them.
Then, there are two sparkly ideas that are plaguing me. I won't say more on that.
I hope everyone's writing is going well. Anyone had any exciting news lately?

I hit 300 people at my blog!
Of course, that left me to figure out how I'm going to read all of their blogs...
:-)
Good luck completing the critique by Monday!
I'm right in the middle of my current WIP, but need to start revisions on the last WIP too. I missed the sign-up date for Crusaders :(
Belle - Good luck on your current and former WIP. And, you'll have to keep a look out for the third writers platform building crusade. :)
Earlier this week I was sick for a few days and I just couldn't write. I missed it, too. I hope you find time! Hopefully you can work all of the short stories into your novel that needs to be done. You seem creative enough to pull it off. ;D
As for exciting news, I went to my first hockey game yesterday. It was intense stuff. :)
Congrats on finishing that long assignment!
Don't give up on Emma Rose. I'll read it again once you've made changes!
Aubrie - Thanks! I'm working on a new long assignment (close to 300 pages), but it's just a critique right now, so I'm able to read and not focus on grammar/spelling. That'll come with the edit.
I'm not giving up on Emma Rose. I figured out how to fix it, but I don't know if you'll get a chance to look it over again. The deadline is Monday, but if it doesn't work out, I'll definitely let you read it again. :D
