NOTE: Before I get to the blogging challenge, I want to mention that today is the last day to enter my 50 followers blog contest. You can win critiques or free short stories. Click here to find out more information.
ADDITIONAL NOTE: I just wanted to say happy birthday to my sister, Kara. She turns 16 today. :)
Last year, Arlee Bird of Tossing It Out created the A to Z Blogging Challenge for reaching 200 followers. Around 100 bloggers took the challenge, and this year they're trying to find at least 300 more followers to participate this year. Right now, there are over 100 bloggers participating.
Since they anticipate more bloggers this year, Arlee has a bit of help with the blogfest. These bloggers are Alex J. Cavanaugh, Talli Roland, and Jen Daiker. If you haven't dropped by their blogs yet, I suggest you do.
According to Arlee's blog post, this is what the challenge is about:
The premise of the Blogging From A to Z April Challenge is to post something on your blog every day in April except for Sundays. In doing this you will have 26 blog posts--one for each letter of the alphabet. Each day you will theme your post according to a letter of the alphabet. You will only be limited by your own imagination in this challenge. There is an unlimited universe of possibilities. You can post essays, short pieces of fiction, poetry, recipes, travel sketches, or anything else you would like to write about. You don't have to be a writer to do this. You can post photos, including samples of your own art or craftwork. Everyone who blogs can post from A to Z.
Last year, somehow I missed all the excitement, but I'm looking forward to participating this year. It starts in April, so if you want to join in the fun and meet new bloggers, you still have plenty of time to create your blog post ideas. (I already have some.)
So I hope you consider joining in. It looks like a blast!
I haven't signed up yet but I might. Haven't decided whether or not to take the plunge. I already blog 5 days a week, so what's one day more?
I'm in, have a great day.

Oooh, I like that challenge. Unfortunately, I know that April won't be a good month for me. My son's and husband's birthdays are in April. My mom's going to be visiting for a week. Yet I hope you do it! It will be fun to read your posts. ^_^
Nancy - Can't wait to read your posts!
Christine - Yeah, perhaps you could do it another time or start writing up posts now for next year. :D Writing posts ahead of time is the only way I get blogging things done.
Sorry I missed this post. I'll be linking to it on my Thank You post on Monday 2/14.
Now a follower as well.
