Wednesday's Writing Update

It's time for another Wednesday's Writing Update!

First off, Oil and Water...and Other Things That Don't Mix is now available. All proceeds go to charity, and my story "Tradition" is in it. If you want to learn more about the anthology, check out my Promo Monday post here. You can also purchase it on Amazon now here.

On Saturday, I entered Michael's Harry Potter Holiday blogfest. I wrote a scene with twelve-year-old Severus Snape and Lily Evans. I wasn't one of the winners, but you still might enjoy reading it if you haven't already. You can read it here. Be sure to click on the link in the post to view the other wonderful entries.

It's my day for a short story on Raven and the Writing Desk. Read "The Elf King" here.

And, don't forget last week's Flash Fiction Fridays, "Turtle Doves, French Hens, and Colly Birds" here. This Friday, the flash fiction piece will be about golden rings.

I haven't gotten much written since last Wednesday. I received another proofreading assignment from PWP, which I finished last night. I'm going to look over it once more before sending it to the cheif editor.

Today, I hope to find a little bit of time to finish writing "Silver Hand Sam." I also plan to get some research done for Virtuoso today and tomorrow. I still have one more short story I want to write for an anthology and then the short story for January in Raven and the Writing Desk before the end of this year.

Just a side note, I won't be online much next week, since I'll be off from work. My first full week off since last Thanksgiving (2009) and my second full week off since I started working in August 2007. I'm really looking forward to the extra time off. But, it also means I'll be home, and our dial-up internet is crappy beyond words. Thus, I might not be able to post next Wednesday or check up on the blogs. I'll try, but I make no promises.

Until next time, my lovely followers.

Sometimes we all need a break from the internet. I hope you enjoy your time off!

Thank you, Nicole! Yeah, I am looking forward to it, but I'll miss checking the blogs as regularly. Plus, if I have to download anything, it may take days. Okay, it's not quite that bad, but hours.

Wow, you have a lot of time off! Congrats!

I love the new picture of you on the sidebar. You look older and more professional. :) (but still very pretty)

Now I'm going over to read Elf King!

Thanks, Aubrie. I can't wait!

And, are you calling me old? *laughs* Just kidding. I took that picture myself with my new camera. I think it turned out pretty well.
