Joy in Writing

This year has seen its ups and downs when it comes to writing. I was all excited to begin writing in January, and the long, dreadful winter months slowed me down and down and down again. This month, I'm picking it back up, though, and it made me realize once again how much I enjoy writing.

I just feel happy to write, and it works better if I write a little bit every day, or almost every day. I've been keeping track of my goals, and so far so good.

Yesterday, I wrote over 1,000 words in Panther Moon, not including the 200 some words finishing up its synopsis. If I can keep up my writing, I'm hoping to finish Panther Moon before NaNoWriMo in November.

Today, I wrote my flash fiction piece for tomorrow. It was a lot of fun to write, and I must admit the story was inspired by going out to eat last Friday.

I also wrote my blog post for Raven and the Writing Desk for tomorrow.

Now, I have a good hour left to work on something else, but I can't decide what. I'll see if I can come up with something before I head off to dinner, and then the Valley Writers meeting.

Have a great Thursday!

I'm so glad to hear that your writing is going well! We all have ups and downs, and right now I can't get very much in. But at least one of us in on the ball! :)

Good luck at your meeting!

Thanks, Aubrie! And, you're just not getting any writing done much because you're busy. It's different than being unmotivated like I was for a while.

I'm excited for you to do Nanowrimo! What an incredible opportunity. Here's to writing abundance!

Thank you, Dr. Cyndi! I did NaNoWriMo last year and really enjoyed it, so I'm hoping to be able to do it again this year and win again too. *crosses fingers*
