I thought the Flash was highly appropriate. *grins* So, my first flash fiction piece will be up tomorrow.
Also, it's hard to believe that six months have passed in 2010. I wanted to take a moment to reflect upon my writing statistics from January 2010-June 2010.
In the past six months:
Submissions: 20
Rejections: 14
Acceptances: 4
Stories currently in Submission World: 4
Words Written: 42,885
It's not bad for the past sixth months, and I was impressed by my word count because I thought it was a lot less, since I haven't been writing much lately.
For the next six months, I plan to write more, starting this month. My goal is to write a little every day. Here is my writing schedule:
Mondays - Novel
Tuesdays - Short Story
Wednesdays - Novella
Thursdays and Fridays - Miscellaneous Writing
Saturdays and Sundays - Editing
Of course, this schedule is subject to change, particularly in November where writing will just include NaNoWriMo 2010, where I will be writing Sarah's Nightmare, a thriller/horror novel.
For this month, I have at least three short stories planned to write and a few flash fiction pieces.

What a great icon for Flash Fiction Fridays! I love it. And those stats look great. 4 acceptances is awesome.
That's an excellent schedule. I love how varied it is. It will keep up all of your writing skills. I just keep plugging away at my WIP. I think I need a break to try to write something different!
It is interesting to see your schedule. I was thinking I was strange to go back and forth between project instead of sticking to just one. Maybe this is just they way you and I work.
Aubrie - Thanks! I'm very happy with my little Flash Fiction picture. *grins* And, four acceptances is good. I wish it were more, but perhaps there will be more these next six months. And, it is probably good to take breaks from a WIP, especially since you went from one novel to the next. Sometimes it's great to step away from a world, write something new, and then when you go back to it, you have more perspective on how you want to proceed.
Starsandy - Thanks for commenting. And, nope, you aren't strange. Unless we're both strange, but that's okay too. *laughs* I find it helpful to jump back and forth on projects at times, unless I'm really motivated to keep writing one thing. The main thing is to continue to write, I suppose.
Love the icon! It's perfect!
4 submissions is wonderful! And a varied writing schedule helps to keep the creative juices flowing so here's hoping that your word count soars! :)
