Hymn to Gaia
Hail to thee, Gaia, Mother Earth!
The praises the creatures sing
About your wondrous beauty.
You are steadfast, yet ever-changing.
Life emerges from your warm womb.
Fruits pour forth from your labor.
You are the protector of your children.
Without you, we will perish.
You will live longer than the breaths
And beating hearts of all.
We honor you, Gaia.
You are the mother to us.
You bind us all together
Upon your grace and fury.
May the richness of your glory endure the ages!
Watchful Guardians
Spirits of the forest, how do you remain?
Beauty being destroyed by careless creatures.
Squirrels no longer have homes to store nuts.
Birds use trash in their nests.
Fish slowly die an unforgiving death.
Burning and polluting
Trashing Mother Earth
Maiden Diana weeps
In a forest that is no more.
Hope lingers.
The nymphs of the forest don’t forget.
For the trees have eyes.
They are watching and waiting.
Without them there is no life.
Yet they remain silently
As the watchful guardians.
