IWSG: Cover Art Reveal Help

It's the first Wednesday of the month, so you know what that means ... it's time for another Insecure Writer's Support Group meeting. IWSG was created by the awesome ninja captain Alex J. Cavanaugh, and you can find out the other members of the group here.
Happy Wednesday, everyone!

I have a request. You see my debut novel Reborn is coming out on May 23, 2014, and I would like to start creating more buzz for it through a cover art reveal. I know. I can hear the groans already. Another cover art reveal?! That's all we see lately, Cherie! Yeah, yeah, I know. But it's probably the last official cover art reveal I'll do, and it is my debut novel. You all have been waiting for that, right?

So, here's the deal. The cover art reveal will start the week of January 20, 2014. You can post that day or any day after that. You can signed up here for the cover art reveal, to read/review the book, as well as host me during my blog tour from May 23, 2014-June 23, 2014. A week before the reveal or earlier, I'll send you the cover art and a document with a small, medium, and long post for the cover reveal. Pretty simple and I'd be forever grateful.

And trust me, you'll want to see this cover. It's created by the uber talented Laura Sava who does the covers for Amber Argyle's work.

Best of all, I have a sneak peek of the cover for my mailing list peeps this month. I'm giving away Reborn bookmarks with the amazing cover on them to people on my mailing list, so if you haven't signed up yet, then you can here.

Thank you!

Do you have an insecurities or encouragements to share?

And for those who've forgotten what Reborn is about, here is the book description:

To save a kingdom, a prophetess must challenge Fate.

On the day of Yssa’s death and rebirth, the god Apenth chose her as the Phoenix Prophetess.

Sea serpents and gods endanger the young prophetess’s journey and sour the omens. Yssa is cursed instead of blessed, and her duties at the Temple of Apenth prove it. She spends her days reading dusty scrolls, which does nothing to help her forget Tym, the boy back home. But the annoying yet gorgeous ferryman’s son Liam proves to be a distraction she can’t predict, even though he rarely leaves her alone for two sand grains.

Her boring temple life screeches to a halt when visions of her parents’ murders consume her. Yssa races across an ocean to stop the future. If she can’t change Fate, she’ll refuse to be the Phoenix Prophetess any longer. Fate, however, has other plans for her and the kingdom.

Yssa must either accept her destiny or fight to change Fate.

YA Epic Fantasy
The Fate Challenges #1
Approx. 95,000 words

And in epic NaNoWriMo fashion, I completed the 50,000 word challenge on November 30th after I wrote almost 8,000 words in one day. Yeah, I was that far behind. *sighs* Of course, I figured out a new way to start Reigned too, so instead of adding another 20,000 words to Reigned this month, I'll be rewriting/editing the first 38,000 words (the other 12,000 was written in Reforged). It's not a major change for Reigned, since I'm increasing a character's age by a year, but it creates a ripple effect through the story, so although the plot is pretty much the same, the way the characters know each other and for how long is different.

If you participated in NaNoWriMo, how did you do?

By the way, I'm participating in Milo James Fowler's 'Tis More Blessed giveaway on Friday where I'll be giving away e-copies of The Nightmare Collection and Gravity: The Complete Trilogy to two lucky people, so be sure to stop by on Friday to enter.

Congratulations on winning Nano, Cherie. 8000 words in one day is a lot of writing, how did you manage to write those many words.

8000 words? WOW! You rock. Congrats on winning Nano. I will have to sign up for your cover release because I love covers and by January I'm hoping to be back in the swing of things (in the middle of a break because of stress. x_x)

Congrats on winning NaNo! I also have to make a change to my current WIP that will require me to rewrite everything I've already written so as to make it a lot better and easier to finish. That might not make sense, but, oh well.

Those damn ripple effects!! They can be such a pain. But as long as it won't be too hard of a slog, you should get through it in good time. :)

Congrats on NaNo!!
