The Spark Blogfest: Work-in-Progress Inspiration

Christine Tyler at The Writer Coaster has created this awesome blogfest involving writers and inspiration.

Today's question is: What author set off that spark of inspiration for your current Work in Progress?

Mock cover of Virtuoso
No particular author sparked the inspiration of my current WiP, although it was role-played inspired. I created Nadia back in 2001, I believe. She had the ability to control energy magics and recently lost her boyfriend—not to death like Virtuoso, though. I didn’t get a chance to role-play the character beyond a few posts, since the group never got off its feet. The character changed a bit but stayed with me. In 2009, I wrote Nadia’s story in Virtuoso.

Wow, that's so cool that you've known the character since 2001 -- and through role play!

That's awesome she has stayed with you for that long. I have a character or two from my role-playing days that has stayed around too. Role-playing is a great way to try different things out.

Cool spark story. I have a few characters that have been in my head for a while. They just don't have any plots stuck with them, but they chat from time to time when I daydream.
