B is for Books

Duh, B has to be for books.

I love books, seriously, love them. There are very few books I've read that I didn't like. I could count them on one hand, but I won't. Even I could find something to like about them, perhaps, if I tried hard enough.

I read all types of things from classic literature to fantasy, horror, mysteries, science fiction, romance, etc. I tend to be a genre reader as opposed to literary, but I do enjoy those too. I even will read the rare non-fiction book if it strikes my fancy. I read MG, YA, and adult. I have also read some naughty erotic books. *blushes*

I could list all the books I've read, but I don't think anyone would want to see that list. The books to-be-read list is even longer. *sighs*

I could live in a bookstore. Then again, with over 1000 books in my room (see this post), it sometimes feels like I am in a bookstore.

Books open new worlds or help you see your own world differently. It's because of my love of books that I began writing.

So, what are some of your favorite books? Are you a book fan girl/guy?

My favorite book? Usually it's whatever I'm reading at the time. There's so much fascinating, well written stuff out there!

Boy, you could be me - 20 years ago. I love books now as well, but my history with them has been unusual.

Glad to have found your blog. I look forward to seeing your other posts.

Ahh, books. Now why didn't I think of that?

My favorite book is a tie between White Oleander, The Lovely Bones, Water for Elephants and In Her Shoes. I can't choose!

Total book fan girl here. I am surrounded by books in my own room and I love every one of them. I read and reread some. I have comfort books that have seen me through many a stressful time. Love this post!

Total fan girl right here :) I have a wide variety in book interests, too. My favorites are Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte, but I like me some Connie Willis too. Great stuff :)

My favorite book is usually the one I'm lost in at the moment. I even feel all warm and fuzzy just holding a book...any book. New books, I love the smell of the pages. Old books, I love the feel of the pages. Yes, I am so obsessed with books that I'm afraid I will be dragged and screaming to the e-book revolution. Great blog...look forward to following!

I'm definitely a huge book fan! I am accused of constantly having my nose in a book by family and friends. Current family read: Farworld Land Keep by Savage. Yesterday I read: Bud, Not Buddy - one of my daughter's homeschool books and not a fav. but not bad.
Favorites of all time: Bible, Hobbit, Ender's Game . . . and many others.

I would LOVE to live in a bookstore. My significant other says that our house is a bookstore. Or, at least would be if I were willing to part with any of my books.

My current favorites are the President's Daughter series, The Hunger Games series, The Harry Potter series and The Song of Ice and Fire series.

Oh yes, I cannot live without books. If we didn't have a basement I'm not sure we could fit them all in the house. My all-time favorite book is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and I've read it many, many times. But I'll read pretty much anything - the backs of cereal boxes, passing trucks, whatever.

I also have a huge TBR pile - resembles a mini-Matterhorn!

Until I took early retirement a couple of months ago I, too, was a Library assisant!

I have rather a lot of 'favourite' books - where shall I begin......

SueH I refuse to go quietly!

Always been a big reader and we have about 800 books on eight bookshelves. And two cats - readers and writers always need cats, right?
Anne McCaffrey is my favorite author.

I rarely find a book I can't find something redeeming in. Seriously. Like you, I can count them on one hand.

My B was for books, too!

Your post reminded me of the first time I walked into my university's library. I immediately texted my boyfriend. "Can I live here?"

I think we share a similar appreciation for books. I haven't met many I didn't like. LOL

My favorite by far is Pride and Prejudice.

I always dreamed of living in a house that was wall to wall books. Or having a huge library! It's hard to pick a favorite book because I love so many. George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series is tied for number one, at least. I've re-read the Harry Potter books the most, though.
