U is for Umbria, the First Main Character

This year's A to Z Challenge theme is: All About Foxwick.

U is for ... Umbria, the First Main Character

The first character I created in Foxwick is Umbria.

There was a call for assassin stories, and I thought that would be fun. I knew I wanted a female assassin, and I wanted to set the story in a Medieval-like world. Foxwick built from that idea as well as Umbria. She told me she was a princess and how she watched her mother and father brutally murdered. She became an assassin, so no one would ever harm her again. She would do anything for her brother—even kill Death.

Did you know your A-Z challenge when you wrote your book? Perfect choice for U.

A female assassin - that's so emancipated! I love badass characters;

That is cool. I like a character that isn't afraid to do what needs to be done.

I do love a female protagonist and Umbria sounds awesome. I'm going to have to get my Foxwick on and start reading these stories!
