I've been thinking about reading lately and when I read the most. When I was school, I read more in the summer. Now, however, I read the most during the winter (December-February).
Do you find that you read more in a certain season?
I read in waves. Sometimes I won't read much, and other times I'll go right from book to book. I'm not sure it has to do with the seasons, I need to pay more attention!
I think I would say I read more in the winter as well. When it's warm and sunny, though I do keep up my reading, I am more enthused to do other activities as well.
I read every chance I get. I don't know if any one season is different from another. I do find that I have less time for reading than I did before I went to university and got a job.
I read mostly in the winter, because my free time in the summer involves chasing my kids around outside. During the winter, I fit reading in around my writing.
I read more in the summer. I don't know why. Maybe it's the longer hours of daylight, or sitting around in the backyard or at the beach. Sand and sun begs for a book to read. :)
I don't think so... ever since I've started editing more seriously and blogging, though, I find I can't spend hours reading anymore :-( I end up scheduling reading weekends or weeks, just to do nothing but read, the way I used to!
I'm pretty sure my seasons of reading match up with school holidays! Of course, I read all the time, but I definitely get more reading done during a school holiday.
I probably read more in the winter as well.
ReplyDeleteI fit in reading when taking a break from writing. I don't think seasons have too much to do with it for me, but vacations certainly do:)

ReplyDeleteI read like crazy whenever I can, really. It mostly depends on what the status of my WIP is, whether I take the time to read more than usual or not!
ReplyDeleteI have noticed that I read a lot during the first few months of the year. Probably because of the inclement weather.

ReplyDeleteI read way more in the summer mostly because I don't have school :P
ReplyDeleteHmm, I never really thought about that. I think I read more in summer and winter when I'm avoiding the worst of the elements.

ReplyDeleteFor sure...in the winter, like you. Maybe I should read that much all year round (I wish).
ReplyDeleteHave a good week! :)
I read more in the winter, especially when its cold out and I can just sit by the fire with a good book on my Kindle.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm trying to read more in the Spring/Summer, but the tennis courts keep calling my name.

ReplyDeleteI possibly read more in the winter, but I also read a lot in the summer lying around avoiding the heat of the day!
